I began my baseball career as most do: playing T-ball and later attended Hays High School where I became an All-State Pitcher. I was then recruited by the University of Oklahoma where I was a Four-year Letterman.
While at Oklahoma I was nominated as an All-American and a Golden Spikes Semi-Finalist. During the summers at OU, I played in the Alaskan Baseball League and the Cape Cod Baseball League where I faced many different talents and learned many different aspects of the game. In 2010, I played in the College World Series, which was the last year it was held in Rosenblatt.
Finally, in the 2011 MLB Draft, I was chosen by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 26th round.
Instead of playing professional baseball, I accepted a Pitching Assistant Position as a Student Coach at OU where I could finish my degree. It was at that time God led me to a career in medicine where I started working in hospitals. I gained knowledge and skills in the medical field and through further education became an EMT. I am currently sharing my knowledge of baseball and medicine as a Health Science Teacher and Baseball Coach at Lockhart High School. My first year coaching at Lockhart, we were able to break a 30 year drought to enter into the post-season playoffs.
I look forward to utilizing my testimony and skills I have learned to help develop you into the player you are capable of becoming.
